Innovation rooted in a traditional family of master carpenters
From a small workshop in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, to a globally active company in the wood industry — the story of hokon is a story of wood, passion, and perseverance. Founded by a 13th-generation master carpenter, hokon built the world's largest freestanding solid wood staircase and turned a family craft into an international brand.
Today, high-quality raw materials from sustainable cultivation meet German manufacturing know-how — boards with exceptional surface aesthetics, durability, and dimensional stability for high-end interiors, furniture design, and sophisticated architectural projects.
