The hokon story

Innovation rooted in a traditional family of master carpenters

From a small workshop in Witten-Herbede to a globally active company in the wood industry — the story of hokon is a story of wood, passion, and perseverance. Founder Jörn Michael Brenscheidt, a 13th-generation carpenter, built the world's largest freestanding solid wood staircase and turned a family craft into an international brand.

Today, high-quality raw materials from sustainable cultivation meet German manufacturing know-how — boards with exceptional surface aesthetics, durability, and dimensional stability for high-end interiors, furniture design, and sophisticated architectural projects.
